This website
afterstart.ch sets no cookies and does no audience measurement. The fonts are served by the site itself: your visit is passed on to no one else. The host, Infomaniak (Switzerland), keeps the server’s technical logs.
What follows applies to the AfterStart app, as it shows it in Settings.
Who is responsible
AfterStart is run by Alain, in Valais (Switzerland), in a personal capacity. He is the data controller and the only person who administers the service.
What is collected
Your email address and your first name if you give it, your body profile (sex, date of birth, height, weight, activity, goal), your meals and their quantities, your weigh-ins and body measurements, your exercise sessions, photos of your plates reduced to thumbnails, the messages you send to the assistant and — only if you provide them — the health situations you declare and the readings from your connected watch: steps, active minutes, sleep and resting heart rate.
What it is used for
To calculate your targets and keep track of what you eat. Nothing else: no advertising profiling, no scoring, no resale. There are no trackers in the app.
Minimum age
AfterStart is only for people aged 18 or over. The app calculates calorie deficits, which are not suitable for a body that is still growing.
Where the data is
The account and the database are hosted by Infomaniak, in Switzerland. Four other providers are involved. Anthropic (United States) analyses your messages and your plate photos and puts together your recipes: it also receives your first name, your body profile, what you have eaten, your watch readings and the health situations you have declared, because they are what tailor the advice; it never receives your email address. Google (United States) provides your watch readings if you connect it. Open Food Facts (France) answers barcode scans without knowing anything about you. Stripe (United States and Ireland) will process payments once the subscription opens; no bank details pass through our servers.
How long
As long as your account exists. When you delete it from Settings › Account, everything is erased straight away: meals, weight, sessions, plans, recipes, messages, photos. Technical logs — requests to the assistant, reminders sent — delete themselves after six months, even if you keep your account.
Your rights
You can take everything the app knows about you with you in a file (Settings › Account › Export my data), correct anything that is wrong (Settings › Profile) and delete everything (Settings › Account › Delete my account). For any question or written request, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies.
Cookies
Just one, the session cookie, which keeps you signed in. It disappears when you sign out. No audience measurement, no third-party cookies.
